3S Artspace Lobby Gallery Proposal
3S Artspace continues to build a roster for the Lobby Gallery in conjunction with our other programming.
For the Lobby Gallery, we are particularly interested in celebrating contemporary artists working in 2D mediums, encouraging sales for artists, and breaking down the notion that buying art is limited to those with extreme wealth. We look forward to sharing your work with new and experienced collectors of art!
About 3S Exhibitions
3S offers on-site assistance with installation, outreach, and marketing, and hosts an artists’ opening reception that often coincides with Art 'Round Town.
- Shipment or delivery of work is the responsibility of the artist.
- Lobby Gallery work must be for sale. The artist retains 60% and the non-profit gallery retains 40%. Majority of work must be for sale in the Lobby Gallery.
- Exhibition length: 4 weeks (typically)
About the Lobby Gallery at 3S Artspace
The Lobby Gallery presents a diverse representation of contemporary visual artists.
3S Artspace welcomes over 30,000 guests each year into our spaces which, in addition to the Lobby Gallery, also include a performing arts venue, Main Gallery, a popular restaurant, and an artisan retail space.
Current hours are Thursday - Saturday from 11am - 6pm, and Sunday, 12 - 5pm. Hours are extended during evenings when there are performances in the venue, as we enthusiastically encourage all visitors and audience members to experience the Lobby Gallery, Main Gallery, and the Shop at 3S.
3S Artspace is a member of Art 'Round Town, a monthly first Friday art walk. We provide a cash bar and light refreshments during artist openings and Art 'Round Town events.
3S Artspace is located in historic Portsmouth, NH, a Seacoast community known for its historic downtown, local music and arts scene, thriving restaurant scene, and diverse tourist attractions. Our vibrant neighborhood has changed a lot in the past few years, with an active hotel right next door and several developments in the works.
